MACHINERY FOR MANUFACTURE OF
CROWNCORKS

Introduction

Throughout the world, Crown Corks are manufactured with Double Action Power Presses, which are specially made for this purpose and have rated capacities ranging from 100,000 Crowns per hour.

While on one hand these Double Action Power Presses offered by multinational manufacturers happen to be very expensive, on the other hand their huge output poses a sales problem, as there are few bulk buyers in the international market. It is also difficult to cater the small buyers.

As an indication of the prevalent cost of above mentioned imported plant for manufacture of Crown Corks, it should suffice to mention that interest on such investments alone on such a plant is a huge burden on the complete project, depending upon make and production capacity.

After years of research and trials, we have developed a Titan Type Double Ram Action Punching Machine for manufacturing Crown Caps, which has proved to be good and much economical substitute for above-mentioned very high production Press. The equipment offered is, as such, a most suitable for small & medium scale unit.

Production Capacity

With a Three / Five / Six Cavity Double Action Pillar mounted Die, fitted with Automatic Strip Feeder, a single machine can produce 125,000 to 250,000 Crown Corks respectively on single shift basis. For high production requirements, multiple units or higher capacity plants can be offered.

Machinery Requirement

Sometimes, the size of tin sheet received/available as such that it is not possible to cut the same into exact three/five or six piece strips. In such Cases, smaller left over strips is suitable for punching two Crowns.

To retrieve this wastage, we have developed a smaller machine with a Two Cavity Double Ram Action Punching Machine. This can recover its cost most from the wastage saved besides serving as a standby machine & is also suitable for 75,000 Crowns production a day.
