Overview
Metal
Printing or Metal Decorating for Tin Containers, Pilfer Proof
Caps, Crown Corks, Show Boards, and host of other items of
mass consumption is done most economically by Offset Printing
Process.
Unlike paper printing, where inks are drying
type, for Metal Printing (Aluminium or Tin Sheet) Stoving
inks and formulations are used. These inks and formulations
are stoved at a certain time and temperature ratio and each
step or process has to be stoved (dried) first in Oven for
next step or process.
Most of the regular shades are readily available
. Mixing of inks is also done when small quantity of a particular
shade is urgently required.
While the Printing Machine is used for design
Printing of Metal sheets, Coating/Varnishing Machine is used
for applying Sizing, Solid Colour Coatings and Varnish. Full
details are available in the Process Description sheet.
Offset Plate Making Equipment are used for
transferring negative/positive film image on sensitised plate.
In case the unit is located in a big city where offset plate
making is available with Offset Paper Printers. Plate Making
Machines (e.g. Graining, Whirler and Vacuum Frame) can be
deleted.
Like our other Machinery, Metal Printing
Equipment was originally designed and adapted for our own
use and is time tested.
Space
Requirement
For
an independent unit, space requirement shall be about 650
to 1,250 sq. ft, depending upon Stoving Oven selected. If
integrated with cap making unit, suitable adjustment can be
made.
